Monissa Solberg has worked hard to develop her skills in the field of psychiatry. From earning her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles to then finishing her residency there to fellowships in forensic psychiatry. Each of these seasons of education have given Monissa Solberg deeper insight into the world of psychiatry which has helped to make her a better psychiatrist.
During her career, she has done extensive research in a variety of specialities in the field of psychiatry such as maternal depression, mental illness in underserved populations as well as the effects of solitary confinement on mentally ill incarcerated individuals. From her research, she has written a multitude of papers and has had the privilege of presenting her research at a collection of national psychiatric meetings. She is always eager to share her findings so that other psychiatric professionals can use the information that she has spent time gathering to better their own communities and patients that they serve.
Her current position is that of a psychiatrist that provides psychiatric evaluations and expert witness testimony. She also manages medication for her patients that fall under a variety of psychiatric diagnosis categories such as adolescents and adults with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive disorder amongst others. Monissa Solberg works to always provide the services needed to her patients consistently and effectively.
